About The Event

We invite you to join us, to explore medicinal use of the Cacao plant. Cacao is the medicine of the heart, helping us to awaken the heart space & connect on a deeper level to ourselves & to others.

In its raw state Cacao is one of the most nutrient dense foods known to man, with more than 300 chemical compounds. This includes Phenylethylamine (aka the ‘molecule of joy’), Anandamide ‘ the bliss chemical’ and Tryptophan another powerful mood boosting ingredient, just to name a few!

The earliest evidence of human use of the Cacao plant dates back to 2,000 BCE. The first civilization who cultivated Cacao is the Olmecs. The Mayans inherited their knowledge of Cacao & proceeded to make it a central part of their civilization, where it was used shamanically & ritualistically.

We’ll ingest the plant as part of a ceremony, before going on a guided ecstatic dance journey through the elements, Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Ether with music to support. Humans have been dancing ecstatically since humans were a thing, moving just for the joy of it. Through moving our bodies we release what holds us back from fully stepping in to the aliveness & potential of the moment. No steps to learn, no way to get it wrong, no prior dance experience necessary, all you have to lose, are your inhibitions!
