About The Event

We invite you to join us to explore use of the cacao plant in its purest and most potent form. We’ll ingest the plant as part of a ceremony before going on a guided movement journey through the elements, Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Ether, with music to support. Movement assists the cacao to flood our bloodstream & allows us to release what holds us back from fully stepping in to the aliveness & potential of the moment.

Why Cacao?

Cacao has a long history of being used alongside other psychoactive plants in Central American culture. Cacao is thought to enhance the absorption of/ inhibit the breakdown of tryptamine alkaloids such as those found in other psychoactive plants. It has the ability to amplify the effects of other medicinal herbs that it is taken alongside.

In its raw state Cacao is one of the most nutrient dense foods known to man, with more than 300 chemical compounds. This includes Phenylethylamine (aka the ‘molecule of joy’), Anandamide ‘ the bliss chemical’ and Tryptophan another powerful mood boosting ingredient, just to name a few.

The earliest evidence of human use of the Cacao plant dates back to 2,000 BCE. The Olmecs were the first known civilization to cultivate Cacao. The Mayans inherited their knowledge of Cacao & proceeded to make it a central part of their civilization, using it shamanically & ritualistically.

Effects might include:

- Enhancing your ability to access your intuition & creativity

- Awakening the heart space, allowing for deeper connection to yourself & others

- Aphrodisiac

- Increase of energy levels, physical flexibility, power & strength

- States of euphoria/ bliss

You are welcome just as you are, no prior experience necessary, no way to get it ‘wrong’!

For those interested, some of the ceremonial grade cacao that we will be using at the event will also be available to purchase for your own use.
